Congratulations to our client Humes Tamworth for winning a $67 million contract extension to build culverts for the Narrabri to North Star section of the Inland Rail Project.
start2see has previously assisted Humes with developing their Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) that include the carbon footprint calculations for their reinforced precast concrete products. Furthermore, we assisted Humes with their Climate Active certification, enabling the delivery of 22,000 tonnes of carbon neutral culverts for the Parkes to Narromine section of the Inland Rail, offsetting emissions of more than 7,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalents.
The new contract includes 9,400 products ranging from precast concrete culverts to drainage pipes, weighing more than 70,000 tonnes in total. We applaud Humes and the Inland Rail project for their leadership. This outcome is a great example of how Australasian EPDs can assist companies with achieving Climate Active carbon neutral certification for their products.
start2see is proud to have contributed our little bit.
