Congratulations to New Zealand Steel Limited (Bluescope) for publishing the Environmental Product Declarations of their Plate Steel and Plate Steel DCRB™ products with EPD Australasia. The EPDs quantify the expected environmental performance of plate steel products made with NZ Steel’s new Electric Arc Furnace (EAF). Set for operation in 2026, it is expected to shrink New Zealand Steel’s carbon footprint by around 1 million tonnes of CO2e annually.
